The Cadillac CTS has once again made it to Motor Authority’s Best Car to Buy nominee list. Of course, we know the 2014 CTS is one of the best buys out there, but let’s take a look at the features that convinced Motor Authority’s experts.
The sophisticated design, sculpting both the interior and exterior of the 2014 Cadillac CTS, collectively show that it means business when it comes to being compared to other luxury vehicles in its mid-size sedan class.
In that class, the CTS is one of the lightest, even with an added 4.1 inches in length and 1.1 inches in wheelbase. It weighs just 3,616 pounds, which is almost completely evenly distributed. On the front axle rests 50.1 percent of its weight while 49.9 percent rests on the rear axle.
The CTS also comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that yields 272 horsepower. The Cadillac CTS Vsport model harbors a 3.6-liter V-6 engine, boosting the horsepower up to 420.
For these obvious reasons, the 2014 CTS is listed as one of the top eight best cars to buy.
“In its third go-round, [the 2014 CTS is] moving the company into truly world-class territory,” said Motor Authority contributor Nelson Ireson.
The 2014 Best Car to Buy award winner will be named on Nov. 12. Here at Crest Cadillac, we know Motor Authority would be crazy to choose any nominee other than the 2014 CTS. But then again, we could be a tad biased.
