We’re sure you’ve noticed Christmas season is in full swing. While it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and presents, some of our local neighbors are taking the time to give back to the Elm Grove Public Library.
For 19 years, the Friends of the Elm Grove Library group has organized the Lights of Love fundraiser to supplement the library’s small budget. The library serves as a community center to many who value the new reading materials and community programs offered.
The fundraiser will be ongoing through December with a tree lighting on Dec. 8. It is the Elm Grove Library’s largest fundraiser. Last year, almost $12,000 was raised.
Donations sponsor lights for the tree.
Jill Varick, a member of the Friends group and co-chair of the Lights of Love committee, described the library as “a nice, community-centered place. . . we just want more people to see that.”
Will you be at the tree-lighting celebration? We at Crest Cadillac hope to see you there!
