Kickapoo Valley: Take Your Cadillac On a Scenic Drive To This Beautiful Wisconsin Attraction

2015 Cadillac Escalade

If you’ve just purchased a new Cadillac at Crest Cadillac and are looking for a fun Wisconsin road trip to take in it, we highly recommend traveling to Kickapoo Valley, which, according to Reader’s Digest, is Wisconsin’s best-kept secret.

Kickapoo Valley is jointly owned by Wisconsin and the Ho-Chuck Nation and contains one of the world’s oldest rivers — Kickapoo River —since it was not disturbed when the glaciers melted at the end of the Ice Age. The Kickapoo Valley is paradise for those who love to hike, swim, fish, hunt, bike, kayak, and canoe — and, in the winter, it is great for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. There are also plenty of scenic drives to take through the area in your brand new Cadillac if you’d rather enjoy the beauty from a comfy heated seat.

The Kickapoo River is surrounded by the Ocooch Mountains, which stand 350 feet tall. These mountains — or hills, more accurately — are home to an abundance of wildlife and rare plants. See if you can spot the more than 100 species of birds or the woodchucks, otters, foxes, beavers, muskrats, and more.

While you’re in the area, forage for mushrooms or sample the famous Kickapoo Blue Cheese. Don’t forget to check out Kickapoo Valley Reserve and Wildcat Mountain State Park.
