Since 1902 Cadillac has been an industry leader. For the 2017 year, the brand has several new technologies and vehicles on the horizon. From reducing greenhouse gas emissions to expanding performance options, Cadillac has some exciting things in store for the upcoming year.
According to the brand website, the future of Cadillac revolves around eco-friendly technologies and designs. This includes the first-ever CT6 plug-in vehicle, offering performance without sacrificing fuel economy. Under the hood is an 18.4 kWh lithium ion battery system and an enhanced variable transmission (EVT). This hybrid can do zero to 60 in just 5.2 seconds with up to 335 horsepower and 432 lb-ft of toque. Best of all, it has a range of 400 miles and it can do 65 MPGe when properly equipped.
Cadillac also unveiled the Escala Concept late last year, and it features a four-door design and liftback styling. It also borrows from the classic 1948 design to include vertical lighting, and a three-dimensional precision pattern in the grille is unparalleled. Finally, Cadillac also announced that it would release the new hands-free semi-autonomous cruise control system for 2017. This system improves safety on the highway, especially for those that travel long distances or late at night. These are just some of the features and designs that are in store for the upcoming year.
