As we approach the upcoming Labor Day weekend, take some time to kick back and relax, and try to squeeze in one more family outing before the craziness of fall begins. Here are some suggestions for things to do for Labor Day in Milwaukee.
- Maxwell Street Days. Stop by Cedarburg’s popular flea market with around 800 vendors. Peruse the antiques, arts and crafts, fine art, food, sports memorabilia, and more. It runs on August 31 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. so come early for the best selection.
- Third Ward Art Festival. Check out Milwaukee’s thriving art and fashion district at the Third Ward Art Festival August 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Find art from a variety of mediums, including jewelry, sculpture, painting, photography, and printmaking, among others.
- Milwaukee Rally. If you love motorcycles, be sure to celebrate Labor Day weekend at the Milwaukee Rally, the Midwest’s Largest Free Motorcycle Rally. There will be free concerts, parties, and fun from August 28 – September 1.
- Wear White Party. When looking for something a bit fancier, head to the Wear White Party at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Milwaukee. For $35 per couple you can enjoy dancing¸ appetizers, and cold drinks. And, don’t forget to wear your finest white attire!
