Summer if here! That means it is time for road trips, vacations, long days at the pool, and so much more. But, before you hit the road for all of your summer adventures, here are some maintenance tips for the summer to make sure your car is in good working order.
- Check your tires. As temperatures change, so does the pressure in your tires. Make sure they are properly inflated and look for signs of wear like bulges and cracks. You also need to inspect your tires to look for adequate tread depth.
- Replace your wipers. Heavy summer thunderstorms will be no match for worn out, cracked windshield wipers. They need to be replaced every six months of so.
- Inspect your battery. Hot summer temperatures can wreak havoc on your car’s battery. Make sure the terminals are clean and there are no signs of leaking battery fluid.
- Check your air conditioning. On the list of bad things that can happen during a road trip, having your air conditioning fail is probably near the top for most people. Have your system inspected to make sure it is ready to go.
