We’ve mentioned over the past few months the new changes and make overs that the current Cadillac models will be receiving in the up and coming model year, but we have another fairly important cosmetic update we feel needs to be brought up. The iconic Cadillac logo will be dropping the iconic laurel wreath in hopes of achieving a cleaner logo look. We’re not sure if we love the idea here at Crest Cadillac, but this isn’t the first time GM has adjust its luxury line’s logo.
Cadillac has sported the legendary crest since its founding in the early 1900s, but GM can’t seem to decide if it likes the wreath or not considering its logos over the past 100 plus years have either also contained the wreath or have had the crest flying solo. With Cadillac trying to increase its global presence it feels a cleaner logo will be more accepting when it comes to outside US markets. The new logo is expected to be shown off on a new concept car which will be revealed during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance but rumors say the new logo want make it on production models until the 2015 model year.
