Super Cruise technology.
One of Cadillac’s newest technologies is called Super Cruise™. This Super Cruise technology is the world’s first true hands-free driver assistance feature to be used on the freeway. It is currently available in the flagship CT6 sedan and takes some of the stress out of highway driving.
Cadillac has announced plans to expand its Super Cruise technology across the lineup starting in 2020, along with incorporating it into other GM vehicles. Cadillac also has plans to incorporate its V2X communications technology into one of its crossovers by 2023 with a broader rollout after that.
“The expansion of Super Cruise and V2X communications technology demonstrates Cadillac’s commitment to innovation, and to making customers’ lives better,” said Mark Reuss, GM executive vice president of Global Product Development. “GM is just as committed to ushering in a new era of personal transportation, and technologies like these will enable it.”
With a wider application of both Super Cruise and V2X, American roadways will be more connected and potentially safer than ever. These technologies will allow vehicles to communicate road hazards and take some of the human error out of the driving experience. With Super Cruise, Cadillac owners can drive hands-free on more than 130,000 miles of freeways in the U.S. and Canada.
